OUR OBJECTIVES

The voluntary organization ”The Flying Librarians” was founded in 2013 and based on its statutes, is a Civil Non-profit Company of Voluntary Air and Aerospace services. It is based in Achaia Western Greece and specifically the city of Patras. It is a common effort, concept and sylipsis of volunteers with long aviation and flying experience and years of occupation with the wider field of aviation and aerospace science, in Greece and abroad.

Our aim is to offer air services voluntarily to the community of our Homeland in order to remove any difficulties in accessibility of the Hellenic Archipelagic environment, as this implies for the level of living of the population, protection of the environment and consolidation and rapid Dissemination of Aviaiton and Aerospace Knowledge and Idea.

In this context, Flying Librarians offer their aircrafts in airborne forest and fire surveillance missions, early warning of disasters and biodiversity conservation in marine and coastal environments, as well as mild airborne presence over sensitive ecosystems and areas of high cultural and historical value.
